1. Add Underline

Entry point: Home tab → Underline button

  1. Select the text that you want to underline.
  2. Click the Home tab.
  3. Click the Underline button.
  4. The selected text will show an underline below it.
  5. You can also press Ctrl+U to quickly toggle underline.

2. Add Underline from Text Properties

Entry point: Home tab → Text Properties drop-down menu → Text Properties → Text tab → Underline button

  1. Select the text that you want to underline.
  2. Click the Home tab.
  3. Open the Text Properties drop-down menu and choose Text Properties.
  4. In the task pane on the right, switch to the Text tab.
  5. Click the Underline button to apply the setting.

3. Remove Underline
