How-to Guide

1. Set a Cell Number Format

Entry point: Home at the bottom → Number Format

  1. Select the cell or cell range that you want to format.
  2. Tap Home at the bottom.
  3. Tap Number Format.
  4. In the format category menu, select the format type you need, such as General, Number, Text, Percentage, or Short Date, and apply it.
  5. If you need more options, tap More on the far right to view formats such as Scientific, Fraction, and Long Date, then confirm the preview and apply the format.

Success Criteria

  • UI state: The selected cell content is displayed in the new format, such as a changed percentage, date, or number style.
  • Next actions: You can continue editing the cell content, copy formatting, or save the file.
  • No side effects: Number formatting changes only the display style and does not change the stored cell value.

Tips While Using

  • Common mistakes: If the cell content is stored as text, changing the number format may not show the expected result.
  • Environment limits: You need to work in an editable AirSheet spreadsheet file.
