1. Insert an attachment from the Local File entry
Entry: Insert tab → Local File
- Select the cell near where you want to place the attachment.
- Click the
Local Filebutton on theInserttab. - In the pop-up window, choose the local file you want to insert.
- Click
OKto finish the insertion. - Drag the inserted file icon if you want to adjust its position.
Success Criteria
- On-screen result: the worksheet shows the inserted file icon or object.
- What you can do next: you can continue editing the spreadsheet, save the workbook, or share it.
- No unwanted change: existing cell data is not automatically removed because of the insertion.
Tips While Using
- Common mistake: if you do not select the target cell first, the attachment position may not match your expectation.
