Entry: Select a cell → Insert tab → Link

  1. Select the cell where you want to add a link.
  2. Click Link on the Insert tab.
  3. You can also press Ctrl+K to open the link dialog.
  4. Continue by entering the link details and confirm the action.
  • Interface result: The link dialog opens.
  • Next action available: You can continue to set text, type, and destination.
  • Common mistake: If you do not select the target cell first, the link may not be inserted where you expect.

  1. Enter the text you want to display in the Text field.
  2. Choose the link type from the Type drop-down list.
  3. Enter the destination in the Link/Address field, or choose the target based on the selected type.
  4. Click OK to finish inserting the link.
  • Interface result: The target cell shows the display text you set.
  • Next action available: You can click the link or manage it later from the cell menu.
  • Common mistake: If the address is incomplete, the destination may not open correctly.

Entry: Right-click a linked cell or object

  1. Right-click the cell or object that already contains a link.
  2. Select Edit Link.
  3. Change the destination or other link details.
  4. Confirm the change to save it.
  • Interface result: The link target is updated.
  • Next action available: Clicking the link opens the new destination.
  • Common mistake: If you close the dialog without confirming, the original link remains unchanged.

Entry: Right-click a linked cell or object

  1. Right-click the cell or object that contains the link.
  2. Select Unlink.
  3. Check whether the cell content remains as plain text.
  • Interface result: The hyperlink style is removed.
  • Next action available: The original content can still be edited as normal text.
  • Common mistake: If you choose another clear command instead, you may also affect the cell content or formatting.
