How-to Guide
1. Insert a Floating Picture
Entry path: Insert → Picture → Floating Picture
- Go to the area where you want to insert the image.
- Click the Insert tab at the top of the window.
- Click Picture, then choose Floating Picture from the menu.
- In the file browser, locate and select the target image.
- Click Open to insert it.
- Drag the corner handles to resize the image, and drag the image itself to move it.

- Interface result: The image appears in the worksheet and stays over the cells.
- What you can do next: You can continue moving or resizing the image.
Tips While Using
- Common mistake: If you do not confirm the target area first, you may need to reposition the image after insertion.

2. Insert a Picture in a Cell
Entry path: Insert → Picture → Picture in Cell
- Select the target cell where you want to place the image.
- Click the Insert tab at the top of the window.
- Click Picture, then choose Picture in Cell from the menu.
- Select the target image from cloud documents or local storage.
- Insert the image. It will fit the cell and stay attached to that cell.
Success Criteria
- Interface result: The image appears inside the target cell.
- What you can do next: When you adjust row height or column width, the image display changes with the cell.
Tips While Using
- Common mistake: If the target cell is not selected first, the image may not be inserted where you expect.

3. Change Pasted Picture Settings
Entry path: Insert → Picture → When Pasting Pictures from External Sources
- Click the Insert tab at the top of the window.
- Click Picture, then choose When Pasting Pictures from External Sources.
- In the side menu, choose the default placement mode.
- Set it to Floating Picture by Default or Picture in Cell by Default.
- After that, pasted images in the worksheet will follow the selected mode.

- Interface result: The default paste mode changes to the selected option.
- What you can do next: Later pasted images from external sources follow the current setting.
