1. Right-click menu actions
Entry: Select a row header or column header → right-click menu
- Click a row number to select the full row, or click a column letter to select the full column.
- Right-click the selected row header or column header.
- Choose the action you need:
- Insert Row Above or Insert Row Below
- Insert Column Left or Insert Column Right
- Delete Row or Delete Column
- To delete multiple rows or columns, select several rows or columns first and then run the delete command.
Success Criteria
- On-screen result: A new row or column appears in the target position, or the selected row or column is removed.
- What you can do next: Continue entering data, adjusting formatting, or using Undo.

Entry: Insert tab → Rows and Columns button
- Click the position you want to use as the reference point for insertion or deletion.
- Open the Insert tab.
- Click the Rows and Columns button to open the drop-down menu.

- Insert Row Above or Insert Row Below
- Insert Column Left or Insert Column Right
