Does Freeze Panes change or lock spreadsheet data?

  1. No. Freeze Panes only changes how the worksheet is displayed.
  2. It keeps selected rows or columns visible while you scroll.
  3. Cell content, formulas, and formatting are not locked or rewritten by this action.

Will my Freeze Panes setting affect other collaborators?

  1. In collaborative scenarios, the frozen view can affect how other collaborators see the sheet.
  2. If multiple people are reviewing the same worksheet, it is helpful to agree on which header area should stay visible.
  3. If needed, use Unfreeze Panes to return to a normal view.

Why were some rows or columns not frozen as expected?

  1. Freeze to Active Cell is based on the currently selected cell.
