Can Fill recognize a sequence pattern?

  1. Yes, it can recognize common number sequences.
  2. For example, if you enter 1 and 2 first, then select both cells and fill, the result usually continues the increasing pattern.
  3. If you only want to repeat the same content, switch to Copy Fill after dragging.

Will Fill overwrite existing data?

  1. Yes. Existing data in the target area can be replaced by the new fill result.
  2. Check the destination area before dragging if you need to keep current content.
  3. If the result is not what you want, use Undo right away to revert it.

Can Fill extend dates automatically?

  1. Yes, date values can be used for continuous filling.
  2. Enter a starting date or a simple date pattern first, then use Series Fill.
  3. After filling, review the result to make sure the date interval matches what you need.
