When using Import Data, the most common questions fall into 4 areas: supported formats, formatting after import, file size, and online document access.
FAQ
What file formats can I import?
- For local file import, you can choose XLSX, XLS, ET, and CSV files.
- For online document import, you can choose XLSX, XLS, ET, CSV, and online spreadsheet files.
- If your file is not in a supported format, convert it to a common spreadsheet format before importing.
What should I do if some formatting is not fully preserved after import?
- Check whether the original file contains complex formatting, charts, or special rules.
- Review the imported structure and display in the current worksheet.
- Adjust cell formatting, column width, or other display settings after import if needed.
Is there a file size limit for importing data?
- A single import is recommended to stay within 250 MB.
- If the file is larger, split it into smaller files and import them separately.
- Keep the document open and wait for processing to finish when importing larger files.
Why can’t I see my online documents or complete the import?
- Confirm that your device has a working network connection.
- Check whether you are signed in to your WPS account.
- In the file picker, switch among categories such as Recent, Shared, or My Cloud Docs to find the target file again.
- If the file still does not appear, confirm that it has been synced to a location accessible by your current account.
