How-to Guide
1. Add a Sort Condition
Entry path: Bottom toolbar → Filter → Sort → Add Sort Condition
- Tap Filter on the bottom toolbar.
- In the pop-up panel, select Sort.
- Tap Add Sort Condition.
- Select the field you want to sort by.
- Choose Ascending or Descending.
- Tap OK.
- Tap Apply to finish.
Success Criteria
- What you should see: records in the data table are reordered by the selected field.
- What you can do next: add another sort condition or return to the table to review the result.
Tips While Using
- Common mistake: if you choose a field but do not tap Apply, the sort result will not be applied.
- Environment note: the current data table must already contain sortable fields and records.
2. Set Multiple Sort Conditions
Entry path: Bottom toolbar → Filter → Sort → Add Sort Condition
- Open the Sort panel by using the same path.
- Tap Add Sort Condition.
- Set the first field and its sort order.
- Tap Add Sort Condition again.
- Select a second field or more fields, and set each one to ascending or descending order.
- Tap OK.
- Tap Apply to save all sort conditions.
Success Criteria
- What you should see: records are sorted in priority order across multiple conditions.
- What you can do next: return to the Sort panel to adjust condition order or edit rules.
Tips While Using
- Common mistake: when fields are similar, it is easy to overlook how the order of conditions affects the final result.
- Environment note: multiple sort conditions are supported for more complex data organization.
3. Keep Sort Rules Active
Entry path: Bottom toolbar → Filter → Sort → Always sort by the following rules
- Tap Filter on the bottom toolbar.
- Open the Sort panel and set the sort conditions you need first.
- Turn on Always sort by the following rules.
- Tap Apply.
- Add a new record later and save the data table.
- Check whether the new record returns to the expected position automatically.
Success Criteria
- What you should see: after saving, newly added records are reordered by the saved sort rules.
- What you can do next: continue adding, editing, or filtering records.
Tips While Using
- Common mistake: turning on this option before setting any sort condition will not produce a useful result.
- Environment note: new records appear at the end by default; after this option is enabled and the table is saved, records return to the sorted position automatically.
