1. Add a sort condition

Entry: Bottom toolbar → Filter → Sort → Add sort condition

  1. Open the spreadsheet file that contains your data table.
  2. Tap Filter on the bottom toolbar.
  3. In the panel that appears, select Sort.
  4. Tap Add sort condition.
  5. Select the field you want to sort by.
  6. Choose Ascending or Descending.
  7. Tap OK to confirm.
  8. Tap Apply to make the sort take effect.

Success Criteria

  • The records in the table are reordered by the selected field.
  • You can continue adding more sort conditions or return to the table to review the result.

Tips While Using

  • If you do not tap Apply, the current setting will not fully take effect.
  • Make sure you are working inside the filter panel for the current data table.

2. Set multiple sort conditions

Entry: Bottom toolbar → Filter → Sort → Add sort condition

  1. Open the Sort panel.
  2. Tap Add sort condition.
  3. Select the first field and its sorting order.
  4. Tap Add sort condition again.
  5. Add the second field or more fields with their sorting rules.
  6. Confirm the order of the conditions.
  7. Tap OK, then tap Apply.

Success Criteria

  • Records are sorted by the first condition and then refined by the following conditions.
  • You can return to the sort panel to add or remove conditions.

Tips While Using

  • The order of multiple conditions affects the final result.
  • This workflow is intended for data-table sorting by field.

3. Turn on Always sort by the following rules

Entry: Bottom toolbar → Filter → Sort

  1. Open the Sort panel and add at least one sort condition.
  2. Turn on Always sort by the following rules.
  3. Check that the selected field and order are correct.
  4. Tap Apply to save the setting.
  5. Return to the table and add or edit records.
  6. Save and review whether records return to the selected order.

Success Criteria

  • The persistent sorting rule remains enabled.
  • After records are updated, you can review whether the table returns to the selected order.

Tips While Using

  • If no sort condition is set first, the persistent rule has no sorting basis.
  • New records may appear at the end first and then return to the saved order after saving.
