1. Create a Numbering Field

Entry path: Click the + button on the right side of the header row, then choose the Numbering field type.

  1. In the data table, click the Add Field button on the right side of the header row.
  2. In the field type list, select Numbering.
  3. Enter the field name as prompted.
  4. Click Confirm to create the field.
  5. After the field is created, use the field in the table as needed.

Success Criteria

  • Interface result: A new numbering field column appears in the data table.
  • Next action available: You can open field settings and continue adjusting the numbering type.

Tips While Using

  • Common mistake: If you choose a different field type in the list, the new column will not be a numbering field.
  • Environment note: You need to work in an editable data table.

2. Configure the Numbering Type

Entry path: Right-click the field, open Field Settings, then open the Numbering Type drop-down list.

  1. Right-click the numbering field that you created.
  2. Select Field Settings.
  3. In the settings panel, click the Numbering Type drop-down list.
  4. Choose Auto-increment Number or Custom Concatenation as needed.
  5. Save the setting after making your selection.

Success Criteria

  • Interface result: The settings panel shows the currently selected numbering type.
  • Next action available: New records can follow the selected numbering rule.

  • Common mistake: Before changing the numbering type, check whether existing records need to keep their current display style.
