How-to Guide

1. Open Find

Entry point: Find in the top toolbar

  1. Open WPS Office on your Mac and go to the spreadsheet you want to search.
  2. Click Find in the top toolbar.
  3. Wait for the Find input area to appear in the current view.
  4. You can also press Command + F to open Find quickly.

Success Criteria

  • Interface result: A Find box or Find input area appears.
  • Next action available: You can type a keyword immediately.

Tips While Using

  • Common mistake: If you are not in the spreadsheet view first, the shortcut may not open the expected Find entry.
  • Environment note: Open a spreadsheet or data table view before starting.

Entry point: Find input box

  1. Open Find first.
  2. Type the keyword you want to search for in the Find box.
  3. Check whether the current table locates a matching result.
  4. If nothing is found, review the spelling and try again.

Success Criteria

  • Interface result: After you enter a keyword, the app starts locating matching content in the current table.
  • Next action available: You can continue moving through results or change the keyword and search again.

Tips While Using

  • Common mistake: An incomplete keyword or spelling issue may prevent the target content from being found.
  • Environment note: Search results depend on the current view scope.

3. Move to the previous or next result

Entry point: Previous / Next in the Find panel

  1. Enter a keyword in the Find box and get matching results.
  2. Click Next to move to a later match.
  3. Click Previous to return to an earlier match.
  4. Repeat until you reach the record you need.

Success Criteria

  • Interface result: The selected match changes as you switch between controls.
  • Next action available: You can continue reviewing all matches and stop on the target record.

Tips While Using

  • Common mistake: If no keyword has been entered, Previous and Next cannot move through results effectively.
  • Environment note: Navigation only works within the current search result scope.
