How-to Guide
1. Add a Field
Entry: Toolbar → Field Management → Add Field
- Click Field Management on the toolbar.
- In the panel that opens, click Add Field.
- Select the field type you need.
- Enter the field name.
- Click Confirm to create the field.
Success Criteria
- Interface result: The new field appears in the field list and in the data table.
- Next action available: You can start entering data or adjust the field settings.
Tips While Using
- Common mistake: Similar field names can make later maintenance harder.
- Environment note: Open a smart spreadsheet data table before starting.
2. Edit an Existing Field
Entry: Toolbar → Field Management → Field-side “…” → Edit
- Click Field Management on the toolbar.
- Find the field you want to edit in the panel.
- Click the “…” icon next to that field.
- Click Edit.
- Update the field content, then click Confirm.
Success Criteria
- Interface result: The field name or settings are updated.
- Next action available: You can continue entering data, reordering, or hiding the field.
Tips While Using
- Common mistake: Editing the wrong field can affect later identification and maintenance.
3. Delete an Existing Field
Entry: Toolbar → Field Management → Field-side “…” → Delete
- Click Field Management on the toolbar.
- Find the field you want to remove.
- Click the “…” icon next to that field.
- Click Delete.
Success Criteria
- Interface result: The target field is removed from the field list and the data table.
- Next action available: You can continue organizing the remaining table structure.
Tips While Using
- Common mistake: Deleting a field before confirming its purpose may affect the current table structure.
4. Reorder Fields
Entry: Toolbar → Field Management → Field-handle “⠿”
- Open the Field Management panel.
- Press and hold the “⠿” handle in front of the field.
- Drag the field to the target position.
- Release the mouse to finish reordering.
Success Criteria
- Interface result: The field order updates based on the drag result.
- Next action available: You can continue adjusting other fields.
Tips While Using
- Common mistake: Dragging too quickly may place the field in the wrong position, so check the final order after the move.
5. Hide or Show Fields
Entry: Toolbar → Field Management → Eye icon next to a field
- Click Field Management on the toolbar.
- Find the target field in the panel.
- Click the eye icon next to that field.
- The first click hides the field, and clicking again shows it.
Success Criteria
- Interface result: The field visibility changes in the data table.
- Next action available: You can continue switching the visibility of other fields.
Tips While Using
- Common mistake: A hidden field may look deleted at first glance, but you can show it again from the Field Management panel.
