How-to Guide
1. Add a Text Component
Entry: Dashboard page → Add Component → Other → Text
- Open the dashboard page.
- Click the Add Component button in the upper-left corner.
- In the component panel, find Text under the Other category.
- Click Text to create a new text component automatically.
- Click the component to enter editing mode.
Success Criteria
- Interface result: A new text component area appears on the page.
- Next action available: You can type text directly in the component.
Tips While Using
- Common mistake: If editing mode is not active, clicking may only select the component instead of starting text input.
- Environment note: You need edit permission for the current dashboard.
2. Edit or Delete a Component
Entry: Click an existing text component → upper-right three-dot menu
- Select an existing text component on the dashboard.
- Click the three-dot icon in the upper-right corner of the component.
- Select Copy to duplicate the current component.
- Select Delete to remove the current component.
Success Criteria
- Interface result: A duplicate appears after Copy, or the original component disappears after Delete.
- Next action available: The copied component can still be edited, and a deleted component can be added again later.
Tips While Using
- Common mistake: Confirm that the correct component is selected before deleting it.
3. Write Text Content
Entry: Click inside the text component editing area
- Click inside the text component editing area to open the floating text toolbar.
- Type the text you want to display.
- Use the toolbar to apply a title style when needed.
- Adjust font size, bold, italic, underline, strikethrough, and alignment as needed.
- Insert emoji if you want to make reminders more noticeable.
Success Criteria
- Interface result: The text appears in the component, and formatting changes take effect immediately.
- Next action available: You can continue editing the text or return to the dashboard layout.
Tips While Using
- Common mistake: Some formatting actions may not apply to the intended text if no text is selected first.
- Environment note: Emoji display and text layout can be affected by the available page width.
