1. Open the insertion panel with @
Entry: Type @ in the Smart Document body
- Place the cursor where you want to insert content.
- Type @.
- Wait for the insertion panel to appear.
- Review the available content types in the panel.
- Continue by choosing a contact, a cloud document, or a time option.

- Interface result: The insertion panel appears after you type @.
- Next action available: You can continue searching for contacts, document names, or time options.

2. Mention a contact
Entry: Type @ → Contact → Select a contact
- Type @ in the document body.
- Type the contact name directly, or choose Contact in the floating panel.
- Select the target contact from the search results or address list.
- Enter the message or context you want to add.
- Press Enter to finish the mention.
Success Criteria
- Interface result: The contact name appears highlighted in the document body.
- Next action available: You can continue writing or mention another contact.
- No side effect: The current editing flow continues normally.
Tips While Using
- Common mistake: If the contact name is incomplete, it may be harder to find the right person quickly.
- Environment note: The mentioned person should have access to the document for a more complete collaboration flow.
3. Insert a cloud document
Entry: Type @ → Enter a document name → Select a cloud document
- Type @ in the document body.
- Enter the cloud document name to search.
- Select the target cloud document from the results.
- Or choose Cloud Document in the floating panel.
- Select Upload Local Document or Choose from Cloud Documents as needed.
- Insert the document at the current cursor position.
Success Criteria
- Interface result: The selected document appears as a card in the document body.
- Next action available: You can open the card for related information or continue editing the current document.
Tips While Using
- Common mistake: Broad document names may return too many results.
- Environment note: Make sure you are signed in and the target document is accessible before inserting it.
4. Insert time information
Entry: Type @ → Time
- Type @ in the document body.
- Choose Time in the floating panel.
- Select the date you want to insert.
- Turn on Set Time if needed.
- Click Insert to finish.
Success Criteria
- Interface result: The date or date-and-time entry appears at the current cursor position.
- Next action available: You can continue adding notes, schedules, or more inserted items.

- Common mistake: If you do not enable the time option, only the date is inserted.
