1. Add a Comment

Entry: Select text → Comment → Enter your comment

  1. Press and hold to select the text or paragraph you want to comment on.
  2. In the floating menu, tap Comment.
  3. Enter your comment in the comment box.
  4. If needed, add a voice comment, mention a contact or collaborator with @, or insert an image.
  5. Tap Send to post the comment.
  6. Check for the blue comment icon on the right side of the editing area.

Success Criteria

  • Interface result: A comment marker appears next to the selected text.
  • Next action: You can open the comment again to reply, react with emoji, or manage it further.

Tips While Using

  • Common mistake: If no text is selected first, the comment entry may not appear in the same way.
  • Environment note: Mentions and notification-related actions work better with a network connection.

2. Reply to a Comment

Entry: Tap a comment → Reply

  1. Tap an existing comment.
  2. Find the + icon and open the reply field.
  3. Enter your reply.
  4. Choose notification recipients if needed.
  5. Send the reply.

Success Criteria

  • Interface result: A new reply appears under the original comment.
  • Next action: Collaborators can continue the discussion in the same thread.

Tips While Using

  • Common mistake: Opening a comment without tapping the reply entry only shows the existing content.

3. React to a Comment with Emoji

Entry: Tap a comment → Add emoji

  1. Tap an existing comment.
  2. Tap the 😃 icon.
  3. Choose an emoji from the list.
  4. Check whether the comment shows the emoji and your name below it.
  5. To remove the reaction, tap the emoji button again and choose the same emoji.

Success Criteria

  • Interface result: The selected emoji reaction appears below the comment.
  • Next action: You can add another reaction or switch to a text reply.

Tips While Using

  • Common mistake: Tapping the same emoji again removes that reaction.

4. Resolve a Comment

Entry: Tap a comment → Resolve and hide

  1. Tap the comment you want to handle.
  2. Tap the icon for Resolve and hide.
  3. Return to the document and check whether the comment is hidden from the main content view.
  4. If needed, open All Comments to find it again.

Success Criteria

  • Interface result: The comment no longer stays visible at the current comment location in the document.
  • Next action: You can still review resolved comments from the full comments list.

Tips While Using

  • Common mistake: Resolving a comment does not mean deleting it.

5. Use More Comment Actions

Entry: Tap a comment → More

  1. Tap the target comment.
  2. Tap More.
  3. Choose Copy, Edit, or Delete as needed.
  4. If you choose Edit, update the content and save it.
  5. If you choose Delete, confirm that you no longer need the comment.

Success Criteria

  • Interface result: The selected action is reflected immediately in the comment content or list.
  • Next action: You can continue managing other comments in the same way.

Tips While Using

  • Common mistake: After deletion, the original comment content is no longer kept in the current list.

6. View All Comments

Entry: Top All Comments in reading mode, or the document info bar under the title → All Comments

  1. Open the Smart Document.
  2. Tap All Comments at the top of the screen, or tap All Comments in the document info bar under the title.
  3. Review all comments and replies in the document.
  4. Filter by Comment Type or Comment Status if needed.
  5. Tap a specific comment to view details or continue processing it.

Success Criteria

  • Interface result: The comments panel lists the comments and replies in the current document.
  • Next action: You can locate comments, filter by status, and continue review work from the list.

Tips While Using

  • Common mistake: Looking only in the document body may make resolved comments harder to find.
