1. Insert a highlight block from the Insert menu

Entry path: Top toolbar → Insert → Highlight Block

1. Place the cursor where you want to add the highlight block.
2. Click Insert on the top toolbar.
3. Select Highlight Block from the menu.
4. Type your content inside the new block.

Success Criteria

• Interface result: A highlight block with the default style appears in the document.
• Next action available: You can continue typing or adjust the block style.

Tips While Using

• Common mistake: If the cursor is not placed correctly, the block is inserted at the current cursor position.

2. Insert a highlight block from the block handle menu

Entry path: Block handle on the left side of a paragraph → Highlight Block

1. Move the cursor to the target paragraph.
2. Click the block handle on the left side of the paragraph.
3. Select Highlight Block from the menu.

Success Criteria

• Interface result: The target paragraph is displayed as a highlight block.
• Next action available: You can edit the text or adjust the block style.

Tips While Using

• Common mistake: The block handle may not appear until you move the pointer to the left side of the paragraph.

3. Insert a highlight block with slash commands

Entry path: Editing area → type / → choose Highlight Block

1. Type / on an empty line in the document.
2. Select Highlight Block from the quick menu.
3. You can also type /glk or /callout to locate the option faster.

Success Criteria

• Interface result: A highlight block is inserted on the current line.
• Next action available: You can immediately type the content you want to emphasize.

Tips While Using

• Common mistake: If the current line already contains a lot of text, start on a new line before using the slash command.

4. Change the highlight block color

Entry path: Select the highlight block → block handle → Color settings

1. Click the block handle on the left side of the highlight block.
2. Select Color settings from the menu.
3. Change the background color and text color as needed.
4. If needed, click the emoji icon on the block to add another visual marker.

Success Criteria

• Interface result: The background color or text color of the block changes.
• Next action available: You can keep editing the content or adjust the color again.

Tips While Using

• Common mistake: Changing only the text color does not automatically change the background color.

5. Change the highlight block icon

Entry path: Click inside the highlight block → Change icon

1. Click anywhere inside the highlight block.
2. Click Change icon on the left side.
3. Select an emoji from the picker.

Success Criteria

• Interface result: The icon in front of the highlight block updates.
• Next action available: You can continue editing text or switch to another icon.

Tips While Using

• Common mistake: If the target block is not selected first, the icon option may not appear.
