1. Show the directory
Entry: Open the document → left-side Expand button
- Open the smart document.
- Click the Expand button on the left side.
- The directory pane appears on the left side of the document.

Tips While Using
- The directory is generated from heading styles in the document body.
- If the document does not contain recognized headings, the directory may appear empty.
2. Hide the directory
Entry: Open the document → left-side Collapse button
- Open a smart document with the directory pane already shown.
- Click the Collapse button on the left side.
- The directory pane is hidden.
Success Criteria
- Interface result: The left-side directory pane disappears.
- What you can do next: You can continue reading and editing in the document body.
Tips While Using
- Hiding the directory only changes the current viewing state.
3. Jump to a document position from the directory
Entry: Left-side directory pane → click a heading node
- Show the left-side directory pane first.
- Click any heading node in the directory pane.
- The document automatically scrolls to the matching position.
Success Criteria
- Interface result: The document view jumps to the selected heading position.
- What you can do next: You can continue reading, editing, or choose another heading node.
Tips While Using
- The directory only recognizes paragraphs in the document body that use heading styles.
- Headings inside highlight blocks and tables do not appear in the directory.
