Why is a heading missing from the directory?

  1. Make sure the content is in the document body.
  2. Make sure the paragraph uses a heading style within the H1-H6 range.
  3. If the heading is inside a highlight block or a table, it will not appear in the directory.

Does my directory show or hide setting affect other collaborators?

  1. The show or hide setting only applies to the current user.
  2. Other collaborators can choose their own viewing preference after opening the document.
  3. If the document author folds or expands directory nodes, other users see the author's fold state when they join collaboration for the first time.

How do I view the document directory on mobile?

  1. Open the document in reading mode on mobile.
  2. Tap the directory button in the lower-right corner.
  3. Review the heading structure and jump from the mobile directory.
