How-to Guide

1. Use Chapter Headings from the Toolbar

Entry path: Edit button in the lower-right corner → bottom toolbar Aa icon → Text Type area

  1. Open a smart document and tap the Edit button in the lower-right corner.
  2. Tap the paragraph that you want to change into a chapter heading.
  3. Tap the Aa icon in the bottom toolbar.
  4. In the Text Type area, select the heading level you want, from Heading 1 (H1) to Heading 6 (H6).

Success Criteria

  • Visual result: the current paragraph uses the selected heading style.
  • Next action: you can continue setting headings for other paragraphs or return to normal body editing.

Tips While Using

  • Common mistake: changing font size or bold formatting manually does not create a heading hierarchy.
  • Structure limit: headings inside highlighted blocks and tables do not appear in the table of contents, so set headings in the main body area.
  • Hierarchy tip: using 2 to 3 heading levels is usually enough to keep the structure clear.
