1. Insert a page break

Entry point: In a Writer document, place the cursor at the target position and use the page break command from the insert-related menu.

  1. Open the Writer document you want to edit.
  2. Place the cursor where the current page should end and the next page should begin.
  3. Open the page break entry from the insert-related menu.
  4. Select the page break option.

Success Criteria

  • On-screen result: Content after the cursor moves to the next page.
  • Next action available: You can continue typing, formatting, and saving on the new page.

Tips While Using

  • Common mistake: If the cursor is placed in the wrong position, the page break may appear before the wrong paragraph.

2. Use a keyboard shortcut to insert a page break

Entry point: Use the keyboard directly in the Writer editing area.

  1. Open a Writer document and place the cursor.
  2. Press Ctrl+Enter.
  3. Check whether the following content starts on the next page.

3. Show page break marks
