What is the difference between a text box and text inside a cell?
- Text inside a cell is part of worksheet data and works with normal cell editing and data-related actions.
- A text box is an independent graphic object that can be placed freely anywhere in the worksheet.
- If you need notes, titles, or side comments, a text box is usually more convenient. If the content needs to stay part of the worksheet data, enter it directly in a cell.
Why did my text box not move when I changed row height or column width?
- Right-click the border of the text box and open the object formatting settings.
- Find the Properties options.
- Select Move and size with cells, then adjust the row height or column width again to check the result.
Can I set a text box to have no border and no fill?
- Select the text box first.
- Open the formatting pane from Drawing Tools.
