Last updated:July 16, 2026

When using WPS Text Box, common questions usually involve where to find the entry, how the object behaves, and how to fit it into a worksheet layout; this section includes 3 common questions and a glossary.

FAQ

Why can’t I find the Text Box entry?

  1. Make sure you are working in a WPS Sheets worksheet instead of another WPS component.
  2. Check the top Insert tab for the Text Box button.
  3. If the interface is crowded, enlarge the window or switch back to a standard editing view and check again.

What is the difference between a text box and cell content?

  1. A text box is a graphic object that is separate from worksheet cells.
  2. It can be placed anywhere on the worksheet and is not directly limited by cell borders.
  3. Use a text box when you need flexible layout for notes or labels. Use cells when the content needs to stay in the worksheet structure or participate in calculations.

How can I make a text box fit my worksheet layout better?

  1. Select the text box and open Format Shape.
  2. Adjust fill, line, and effects so the text box matches the worksheet style.
  3. Then change its size and position based on the text length so it does not cover important data.
