When using Number Conversion, common questions usually involve finding the entry, understanding membership limits, and checking results; this page covers 3 frequent questions and a glossary.
FAQ
Why can’t I see some conversion items in Smart Toolbox?
- Make sure you are working in WPS Spreadsheets instead of another WPS component.
- Check that you opened the Member Exclusive tab and then Smart Toolbox.
- If some items are membership-limited, activate the related benefit and try again.
Why does a text-formatted number still not calculate after conversion?
- Select the target cell again and run Text-formatted Number to Number from the Convert menu on the Home tab.
- Check whether the cell contains spaces, symbols, or other non-numeric characters.
- After conversion, reference the value from another cell to confirm that it now behaves like a numeric value.
Can I restore a formula after using Formula to Text?
- If you have not saved over other copies yet, undo the current action first.
- If the result has already been saved as text, re-enter the original formula or recover it from version history or a backup copy.
- Before running a large batch conversion, copy one column first so you can compare and restore content later.
