1. Open the move entry from the right-click menu
Feature entry: Right-click a worksheet tab → Move button
- Open the WPS Spreadsheet file that contains the worksheet you want to manage.
- Find the worksheet tab at the bottom of the window.
- Right-click the worksheet tab.
- Select the Move button to open the related settings window.
Success Criteria
- Interface result: The move or copy worksheet settings window opens.
- Next action available: You can continue to choose a target position or destination workbook.
Tips While Using
- Common mistake: If you right-click outside the worksheet tab area, the related entry will not appear.
2. Open Move or Copy Worksheet from the ribbon
Feature entry: Home tab → Worksheet drop-down menu → Move or Copy Worksheet button
- Open WPS Spreadsheet and enter the target workbook.
- Click the Home tab at the top of the window.
- Open the Worksheet drop-down menu.
- Click the Move or Copy Worksheet button.
Success Criteria
- Interface result: The Move or Copy Worksheet settings window opens.
- Next action available: You can set the insertion position or choose whether to copy to another workbook.
Tips While Using
- Common mistake: If the target worksheet is not selected first, you may end up working with the current active worksheet.
3. Choose a target position to move a worksheet
Feature entry: Move or Copy Worksheet settings window
- Open the Move or Copy Worksheet window from the right-click menu or the ribbon.
- In the position list, select where the worksheet should be placed.
- Confirm the insertion order.
- Click OK to complete the move.
Success Criteria
- Interface result: The worksheet appears in the new tab position.
- Next action available: You can continue editing, save the workbook, or adjust the order again.
- No side effect: The worksheet content stays the same and only the position changes.
Tips While Using
- Common mistake: If you confirm before checking the target position, you may need to adjust the order again.
4. Copy a worksheet to another workbook
Feature entry: Move or Copy Worksheet settings window
- Open both the source workbook and the destination workbook first.
- Select the worksheet you want to copy, then open the Move or Copy Worksheet window.
- In the destination workbook list, choose the workbook that should receive the copy.
- Select the insertion position and click OK to complete the copy.
Success Criteria
- Interface result: A worksheet with the same content appears in the destination workbook.
- Next action available: You can save the source workbook and the destination workbook separately.
- No side effect: The original worksheet remains in the source workbook.
Tips While Using
- Common mistake: If the destination workbook is not opened in advance, it may not be available in the target workbook list.
