1. Insert a local picture

Entry: Insert tab → Picture

  1. Click Picture on the Insert tab.
  2. Select Floating Picture or In-Cell Picture.
  3. Click Local Picture.
  4. Browse to the image file that you want to insert.
  5. Click Open to finish.

Success Criteria

  • Interface result: The selected picture appears in the current worksheet.

2. Insert an online picture

3. Edit a picture

Entry: Picture Tools tab → Format Shape arrow

  3. In the task pane on the right, adjust Fill & Line, Effects, Size & Properties, or Picture as needed.

  3. The picture is embedded into the cell that corresponds to the upper-left area of the picture.
