1. Insert a Local Picture

Feature entry: Insert tab → Picture

  1. Click Picture on the Insert tab.
  2. Select Floating Picture or Embedded-in-Cell Picture.
  3. Click Local Picture.
  4. Browse for the image file you want to insert.
  5. Click Open to finish.

Success Criteria

2. Import a Picture from iPad or iPhone

3. Insert an Online Picture

  5. Click to insert it.

4. Edit a Picture

Feature entry: Picture Tools tab → Format Shape arrow

  1. Select the picture.
  2. On the Picture Tools tab, click the Format Shape arrow.
  3. In the right-side task pane, adjust settings such as Fill & Line, Effects, Size & Properties, and Picture.

Success Criteria

  • The right-side task pane opens.
  • Changes to picture style or properties appear in the worksheet.

5. Convert a Floating Picture into an Embedded-in-Cell Picture

Feature entry: Right-click picture → Embed Picture in Cell

  2. Right-click the picture and choose Embed Picture in Cell.
  3. The picture is embedded into the cell that corresponds to the picture’s upper-left area.

  • The picture is embedded in the worksheet by cell position.
