1. Hide Rows and Columns

Feature path: Tools → Home → Rows & Columns → Hide

1. Open a WPS spreadsheet file and select the row numbers or column headers that you want to hide.
2. Tap Tools at the bottom.
3. Switch to the Home tab.
4. Tap Rows & Columns.
5. Select Hide from the expanded options.
6. If you want to hide multiple rows or columns at once, long-press and drag to select multiple targets before using Hide.

Success Criteria

• Interface result: The selected rows or columns are no longer visible in the current worksheet.
• What you can do next: You can continue editing other cells or move to hidden-item management.
• No side effect: The data remains in the worksheet after the rows or columns are hidden.

Tips While Using

• Common mistake: If you select cell content instead of row numbers or column headers, the intended action may not work as expected.
• Environment note: You need to be in spreadsheet editing view before using this entry.

2. Manage Hidden Rows and Columns

Feature path: Select the adjacent rows or columns on both sides of the hidden area → Tools → Home → Rows & Columns → Manage Hidden Rows and Columns

1. Select the adjacent rows or columns on both sides of the hidden rows or columns.
2. Tap Tools at the bottom.
3. Switch to the Home tab.
4. Tap Rows & Columns.
5. Select Manage Hidden Rows and Columns.
6. Manage hidden rows or hidden columns as needed, including hiding, unhiding individual items, or handling all hidden items.

Success Criteria

• Interface result: You can open the management entry for hidden rows or hidden columns and restore visibility when needed.
• What you can do next: After unhiding, you can continue viewing and editing the original data area.
• No side effect: Restoring visibility does not change the original cell content.

Tips While Using

• Common mistake: If the adjacent rows or columns around the hidden area are not selected correctly, the management state may not open as expected.
