1. Set font color for a cell

Feature path: Tools at the bottom → Home tab → Font Color

1. Select the cell whose text color you want to change.
2. Tap Tools at the bottom.
3. Open the Home tab.
4. Tap Font Color in the font formatting area.
5. Select the color you want to apply.

Success Criteria

• The text in the selected cell appears in the new color.
• You can continue typing or editing with the updated display effect.

Tips While Using

• Select the target cell before opening the color options.
• If the file is read-only, you may not be able to save the change.

2. Change color for part of the text

Feature path: Enter cell editing mode → select text → Tools → Home → Font Color

1. Open the spreadsheet and select the target cell.
2. Enter editing mode.
3. Select the part of the text that you want to recolor.
4. Tap Tools and open the Home tab.
5. Tap Font Color and choose a color.

Success Criteria

• Only the selected part of the text changes color.
• Other text in the same cell stays unchanged.

Tips While Using

• You need to enter editing mode before changing the color of only part of the text.
• If no text is selected, the color may apply to text entered from the current cursor position.

3. Restore a common color

Feature path: Select a cell or text → Tools → Home → Font Color

1. Select the cell or text that already has a color applied.
2. Tap Tools.
3. Open Font Color on the Home tab.
4. Choose a common color, such as black, from the palette.
5. Return to the sheet and check the result.

Success Criteria

• The target text returns to the selected common color.
• The sheet looks more consistent for continued editing or printing.

Tips While Using

• Print output can vary depending on the printer and whether you use color or black-and-white mode.
• If you want to unify a whole row or column, select it first and then apply the color.
