How-to Guide
1. Apply Bold
Entry: Bottom Tools option → Home tab → Bold button (B icon)
- Select the cell that you want to format.
- Tap Tools at the bottom.
- Open the Home tab.
- Tap Bold in the font-formatting area.
- To remove bold, tap the same button again.
Success Criteria
- Visual result: the text in the selected cell appears in bold.
- Next action available: you can continue editing or save the spreadsheet.
Tips While Using
- Common mistake: if no cell is selected first, the formatting result may not appear as expected.
- Environment note: make sure the spreadsheet is already in editing mode.
2. Bold a Full Column
Entry: Select the column header → Bottom Tools option → Home tab → Bold button
- Tap the target column header to select the full column.
- Tap Tools at the bottom.
- Open the Home tab.
- Tap Bold.
Success Criteria
- Visual result: text in the selected cells of that column appears in bold.
- Next action available: you can continue adjusting other formatting or save the file.
Tips While Using
- Common mistake: if only one cell is selected, bold formatting applies only to that cell.
3. Bold Header Rows in Batch
Entry: Long-press the row number for the header row → Bottom Tools option → Home tab → Bold button
- Long-press the row number for the header row to select the full row.
- Tap Tools at the bottom.
- Open the Home tab.
- Tap Bold to apply the format to the selected header row.
Success Criteria
- Visual result: text in the selected header row appears in bold.
- Next action available: you can continue setting alignment, color, or borders.
Tips While Using
- Common mistake: if the header spans multiple rows, confirm that all target rows are selected before applying bold.
