Entry point: Collaboration tab → Related Collection Sheet

  1. Open the online collaborative spreadsheet where you want to collect data.
  2. Click the Collaboration tab at the top.
  3. Click Related Collection Sheet on the toolbar.
  4. In the creation panel on the right, choose Generate Collection Form from Headers or Link Existing Collection Form.
  5. Finish the setup and start sharing the form for responses.

Success Criteria

  • UI state: the collection form creation panel appears on the right side.
  • Next actions: you can continue by generating a new form or linking an existing one.
  • No side effects: the current spreadsheet stays open and other sheet content remains editable.

2. Manage Collected Data

Entry point: right-side Related Collection Sheet panel

  1. Open an online collaborative spreadsheet that already has a linked collection form.
  2. View submitted response data in the Related Collection Sheet panel on the right.
  3. Check whether the data has been filled into the matching worksheet columns automatically.
  4. Review the submitter details and submission time for each response.

Success Criteria

  • UI state: submitted records are visible in the right-side panel.
  • Next actions: you can continue filtering, summarizing, or editing the synced data in the spreadsheet.
  • No side effects: viewing records does not interrupt the existing spreadsheet structure.
