How-to Guide
1. Open Recent Changes from the Collaboration tab
Feature entry: Collaboration tab → History Record → Recent Changes
- Open a spreadsheet in collaboration mode.
- Select the target cell or the range you want to inspect.
- Click the Collaboration tab at the top.
- Click History Record on the toolbar.
- Select Recent Changes from the drop-down menu.
Success Criteria
- Interface result: You can see the Recent Changes submenu.
- What you can do next: You can continue to choose cell-level changes or a time range.
Tips While Using
- This feature is available only in collaboration mode.
- It is helpful to select the target cell or range before opening the menu.
2. Open Recent Changes from the file menu
Feature entry: File menu → Recent Changes
- Open a spreadsheet in collaboration mode.
- Select the target cell or the range you want to inspect.
- Click the file menu in the upper-left corner (☰).
- Find Recent Changes in the menu.
- Choose the record range you want to review.
Success Criteria
- Interface result: The Recent Changes entry is visible in the file menu.
- What you can do next: You can choose a change range directly.
Tips While Using
- If the file is not in online collaboration status, the entry may be unavailable.
- This entry is useful if you prefer working from the main menu.
3. View recent changes for a selected cell
Feature entry: Collaboration tab / File menu → Recent Changes → Cell Recent Changes
- Select the target cell in the worksheet.
- Open the Recent Changes menu.
- Select Cell Recent Changes.
- Review the change record for that cell.
Success Criteria
- Interface result: The change information for the selected cell is displayed.
- What you can do next: You can switch to another cell and continue checking edits.
Tips While Using
- If you do not select a target cell first, the result may default to worksheet-level changes.
- This method is useful for checking edits to a key value.
4. View change records by time range
Feature entry: Recent Changes → Today’s Changes / Changes in the Last 3 Days / Changes in the Last 7 Days
- Open the Recent Changes menu.
- Select Today’s Changes, Changes in the Last 3 Days, or Changes in the Last 7 Days.
- Review the data change records for the selected period.
- If you need the full sequence of actions, continue with worksheet Auto Replay.
Success Criteria
- Interface result: The change records for the selected time range are displayed.
- What you can do next: You can switch to another time range and review again.
Tips While Using
- Change records are kept for a limited time, so older records may not appear.
- Worksheet changes can also be reviewed through Auto Replay for the full action order.
