3. Check why the format did not apply
Feature entry: Reopen Number Format after selecting the cell
- If the display does not change after you modify the number format, first check whether the cell content is stored as text.
- See whether the value starts with an apostrophe or was entered as text.
- If needed, adjust the content so it can be displayed as a numeric value.
- Open Number Format again and choose the target format.
- Check the cell display result again.
