How-to Index

How-to Guide

1. Insert a Floating Image

Feature entry: Insert > Image > Floating Image

  1. Select the target cell area.
  2. Click the Image button on the Insert tab, then choose Floating Image.
  3. In the selection window, choose a local image file.
  4. The image is inserted above the sheet, and you can move or resize it as needed.

Success Criteria

  • On-screen result: The image appears above the sheet instead of inside a cell.
  • What you can do next: You can drag the image and continue resizing it.

Tips While Using

  • Common mistake: If you do not confirm the target area first, you may need to reposition the image after insertion.
  • Environment note: Make sure the local image file is accessible before you select it.

2. Insert a Cell Image

Feature entry: Insert > Image > Cell Image

  1. Select the target cell.
  2. Click the Image button on the Insert tab, then choose Cell Image.
  3. Choose an image from Local or Cloud Space.
  4. The image is embedded in the cell and adjusts with the cell size automatically.

Success Criteria

  • On-screen result: The image appears inside the selected cell.
  • What you can do next: When you resize the cell, the image adjusts with it.

Tips While Using

  • Common mistake: If you need to move the image freely, do not choose the cell image mode.
  • Environment note: Cloud-based image selection usually requires a network connection and a signed-in account.

3. Change Pasted Image Settings

Feature entry: Insert > Image > When Pasting Images from External Sources

  1. Click the Image button on the Insert tab.
  2. Select When Pasting Images from External Sources.
  3. Choose Default to Floating Image or Default to Cell Image.
  4. After the setting is saved, pasted images from external sources follow the selected default behavior.

Success Criteria

  • On-screen result: The default insertion mode changes to the option you selected.
  • What you can do next: Future pasted images follow the selected mode without switching it each time.

Tips While Using

  • Common mistake: If the result is not what you expected, check the current default setting first.
  • Environment note: This setting affects how future pasted images are inserted.
