When using Hide or Unhide Sheets, 3 common question types come up: data retention, repeated hiding actions, and visibility limits; this FAQ includes 3 common answers.
FAQ
Will data in a hidden sheet be lost?
- No. Hiding a worksheet only removes it from the visible tab bar.
- The worksheet data remains in the workbook.
- You can restore the sheet with Unhide and continue using it.
Can I hide multiple sheets?
- Yes. You can hide multiple worksheets one by one.
- Tap each sheet tab that you want to hide and repeat the Hide action.
- When needed, use Unhide to restore the corresponding worksheets.
Why can't I hide the last visible sheet?
- A workbook must keep at least one visible worksheet.
- If only one worksheet is still visible, that sheet cannot be hidden.
- If you need to adjust the visible set, unhide another worksheet first and then manage the tabs again.
