WPS Group on Windows FAQ

Last updated:July 14, 2026

When using WPS Group, the most common questions fall into 3 areas: visibility, operation results, and collaborative viewing; this page covers the top 3 questions.

FAQ

Are the groups I create visible to other collaborators?

  1. Grouping and outline settings are saved in the current document.
  2. When other collaborators open the same file, they can usually see the same grouping structure.
  3. Collaborators can expand or collapse the groups based on their own viewing needs.

Why do I not see collapse controls after I group rows or columns?

  1. First, confirm that you selected consecutive rows or consecutive columns.
  2. Then check whether you used the grouping command on the Data tab.
  3. If the controls still do not appear, select the range again and create the group one more time.

Does removing a group delete my data?

  1. Removing a group only deletes the grouping structure.
  2. Your original cell data, content, and most display results are not deleted by this action.
  3. If you still need a layered view afterward, you can create a new group for a different range.
