Will the freeze setting I apply in collaboration mode affect other people?
- Yes. The frozen view can affect what other collaborators currently see in the worksheet.
- If multiple people are reviewing the same sheet, it helps to confirm which area should stay visible.
- If needed, use Unfreeze Panes to return to a normal view.
Why are some rows or columns not freezing the way I expect?
- Freeze is based on the position of the currently selected cell.
- You can freeze only the rows above and the columns to the left of that position.
- If you need a specific frozen area, select the correct target cell first and then run the freeze action again.
Does Freeze lock data or affect editing?
- No. Freeze changes only how the worksheet is displayed.
- Cell content, formulas, and formatting are not locked by freezing.
- You can still edit data in both frozen and unfrozen areas.
Will frozen areas automatically repeat headers when I print?
- No. Freeze is mainly for on-screen viewing.
