WPS Fill Color on iOS FAQ

Last updated:July 16, 2026

This FAQ focuses on 3 common questions about visibility, clearing color, and editing results, followed by a short glossary.

FAQ

What should I do if text becomes hard to read after I apply a fill color?

  1. Check whether the current background color is too dark or too bright.
  2. Adjust the font color to match the background. Light text works better on dark fills, and dark text works better on light fills.
  3. If readability is still poor, choose a softer fill color.

Why does white fill sometimes look like there is no fill?

  1. White fill is still a background color setting.
  2. If you want the default transparent effect, open the Fill Color panel again.
  3. Choose No Fill instead of white.

Will clearing fill color affect the text, numbers, or formulas in a cell?

  1. Clearing fill color only removes the cell background display effect.
  2. Text, numbers, and formulas in the cell stay unchanged.
  3. After that, you can continue editing, save the file, or apply another format.
