How-to Guide
1. Edit Chart Elements
Entry: Click the chart → Chart Elements
- Click to select the inserted chart.
- Select Chart Elements.
- In the Chart Elements dialog, choose whether to show the chart title, axes, data labels, and other items.
- In the Quick Layout dialog, switch to a different chart layout.

2. Change Chart Styles
Entry: Click the chart → Chart Styles
- Click to select the inserted chart.
- Select Chart Styles.
- In the Styles dialog, click a preset style to apply it to the current chart.
- In the Color dialog, switch the chart color.

- Visual result: The chart style or color changes immediately.
- Next step available: You can return to the style list and choose another option.

- Common mistake: If the chart is not selected first, the style panel will not apply to the current chart.
3. Modify Chart Properties
Entry: Double-click the chart / Click the chart → Edit Chart
- Double-click the chart, or click the chart and choose Edit Chart to open the properties panel.
- In the data and series area, set the data range, horizontal axis categories, and series.
- In the chart element style area, adjust colors and fonts, titles and axis titles, axes, and data labels.
- Review the live preview and continue refining the chart.

- Visual result: Changes in the properties panel are reflected in the current chart.
- Next step available: You can continue editing other properties or save the spreadsheet.

- Common mistake: When changing the data range, make sure the selected area covers the data you want to display.
4. Change Chart Types
Entry: Click the chart → Change Chart Type
- Select the chart you want to modify.
- Right-click the chart area and choose Change Type.
- In the pop-up panel, select a new chart type.
- Click OK to switch the chart to the new type while keeping the original data.
Success Criteria
- Visual result: The chart is displayed in the new type and the original data remains available.
- Next step available: You can continue adjusting the new chart's style, elements, or properties.
