Common questions about WPS Data Validation on Android usually involve rule setup, rule removal, and result checking; this section includes 3 frequently asked questions and a glossary.

FAQ

Why do I see a pop-up when I enter content that does not match the rule?

  1. Confirm that data validation has already been applied to the target cell or range.
  2. Check whether the entered content exceeds the limits for Integer, Decimal, Date, Time, or Text Length.
  3. If the content does not match the configured rule, a pop-up prompt appears as part of normal validation behavior.

Why can’t I find the Data Validation option?

  1. Make sure you opened a WPS spreadsheet instead of another file type.
  2. Tap Tools at the bottom of the screen, then switch to the Data tab.
  3. Look for Data Validation in the data-related tools.

Why does the original content remain after I clear data validation?

  1. Clearing data validation removes the input restriction, but it does not delete existing cell content.
  2. If you want to change the existing content, edit the cell manually after removing the rule.
  3. If input is still restricted, check whether you selected the correct range and changed the type to Any Value.
