1. View Collaboration History

Entry:

  • Option 1: Collaboration tab → History → Collaboration History
  • Option 2: File tab → History → Collaboration History
  1. Open a collaborative spreadsheet.
  2. Click the Collaboration tab at the top.
  3. Click History on the toolbar.
  4. Select Collaboration History from the drop-down menu.
  5. Review the record list in the right-side panel, sorted in reverse chronological order.
  6. Check the collaborator, action type, and action time for each record.

Success Criteria

  • Interface result: the Collaboration History panel appears on the right side.
  • Next action available: you can continue filtering records or open a record for details.

Tips While Using

  • Environment note: this feature works in collaboration mode.
  • Record scope: the number of retained records is limited.
  • Visitor records: visitor activity shows the action content but not account identity.

2. Use Collaboration History Filters

Entry: right-side Collaboration History panel → Filter

  1. Open the Collaboration History panel.
  2. Find the filter area at the top of the panel.
  3. Filter by collaborator to review one person’s actions.
  4. Filter by action type, such as edit, comment, or share.
  5. Filter by time range to review records from a specific period.

Success Criteria

  • Interface result: the record list updates based on the selected conditions.
  • Next action available: you can switch filters or open a record for details.

Tips While Using

  • Common mistake: if the Collaboration History panel is not open first, the filter entry is not visible.
  • Environment note: filter results depend on the records currently available in the file.

3. Restore Collaboration Content

Entry: click a collaboration record → click the action content → View DetailsRestore Content

  1. Click any collaboration record in the Collaboration History panel.
  2. If the related content still exists in the file, WPS locates it.
  3. Review the highlighted content position to confirm the change range.
  4. Click View Details.
  5. Click Restore Content.
  6. Restore the content to the spreadsheet.

Success Criteria

  • Interface result: the related content is located or highlighted.
  • Next action available: you can restore content from the details view.
  • No unexpected effect: the original collaboration records remain available for later review.

Tips While Using

  • Common mistake: if the related content is no longer in the file, direct location may not work.
  • Environment note: if location fails, check version history and continue troubleshooting from an earlier version.
