FAQ
Why can’t I see Smart Word Selection after I long-press or double-tap text?
- Make sure the current document is already in editing mode.
- Double-tap the text again, or select a short text range first and then check the floating menu.
- If the option still does not appear, update WPS Office and try again.
- You can also review document editing settings in the app if needed.
What should I do if the selected word or phrase is not what I wanted?
- Check the range that the app selected automatically.
- Drag the selection handles to adjust the start and end positions manually.
- For specialized terms, uncommon combinations, or mixed-language content, use the adjusted range as the final result.
Does Smart Word Selection change my document content?
- Selecting text by itself does not change the document.
- If you continue with actions such as cut or delete, those edits are applied to the current document.
- Confirm both the selected range and the intended action before editing.
