FAQ

Why can’t I see the ruler?

  1. Make sure you are editing a document in WPS Writer rather than another component view.
  2. Click the View tab at the top.
  3. Check whether Ruler is enabled. If not, click it once to show the ruler.

The ruler is visible, so why can’t I adjust indents normally?

  1. Select the paragraph you want to adjust first.
  2. Then drag the first-line, left, or right indent marker on the ruler.
  3. If it still does not work, check whether the document is editable.

How can I align text more neatly with the ruler?

  1. Show the ruler first.
  2. Click the tab type button on the left side of the ruler and open Set Tab Stops.
  3. Set the position you need, click OK, and then use the Tab key to align text to the same location.
