Why can’t Format Painter copy some formatting?
- Make sure you fully select the source text.
- Check whether the action is related to text formatting such as font, size, color, bold, or italic.
- If the effect is paragraph-related, review whether it is within the supported scope of the current Format Painter workflow.
What should I do before using Paste Format?
- Select text that already has the style you want.
- Go to Tools → Home → Format Painter and tap Copy Format.
- Then select the target text and use Paste Format.
The text looks different after I clear formatting. What should I do?
- This means the original text styling has been removed.
- If you want a new consistent style, select standard text and use Copy Format again.
- You can also manually set the font, size, or color again from the Home tab.
