1. Run Reduce File Size
Entry point: Document top menu bar > More > All Services / More Output & Conversion > Reduce File Size
- Open the document that you want to compress.
- Tap More in the top menu bar.
- Go to All Services or More Output & Conversion.
- Tap Reduce File Size.
- Wait while the system automatically analyzes the document and shows the reducible space.
- Choose whether to Back up the original document.
- Tap Start slimming to run compression.
- Review the before-and-after file size comparison when the process is complete.
Success Criteria
- UI state: The page shows the reducible space analysis result and then displays a before-and-after size comparison after completion.
- Next actions: You can continue saving, sharing, or return to the document for further editing.
- No side effects: If you chose to back up the original document, the original version is kept as well.
Tips While Using
- Common mistakes: If you do not enter All Services or More Output & Conversion, you may not find the Reduce File Size entry.
- Membership: This feature requires a WPS Member plan.
- Environment limits: Documents with more images usually show a more noticeable file size reduction.
