What should I do if I forget the protection password?
- First confirm whether your account is the document owner or document manager.
- In collaboration mode, ask the document owner or document manager to remove the protection.
- If you are only a regular collaborator and cannot provide the password, you cannot recover the original password yourself.
Can collaborators still change the document after Restrict Editing is turned on?
- It depends on the restriction type you selected.
- If you selected read-only, collaborators cannot directly edit the main text.
- If you selected comments only or tracked changes only, collaborators can work only within that allowed range.
Why do I still not see normal editing after I stop protection?
- Make sure the protection password was entered correctly.
