This FAQ covers common questions about display behavior, feature limits, and removal results, with 3 quick answers and a glossary for key terms.

FAQ

Why can’t I hide the page number on the first page only?

  1. The current iOS page-number feature does not support a different first page setting.
  2. If the first page must be different, continue the layout work on a desktop version.
  3. If you only need a temporary label, you can use manual text instead of automatic page numbering.

Do page numbers update automatically after I insert them?

  1. Yes. After page numbers are inserted, they update automatically when pagination changes.
  2. If content is added or removed, review the document pages again to confirm the updated numbering.
  3. Before printing, preview the document to confirm the page-number order and style.

Why do all page numbers disappear when I delete one?

  1. The current page-number setting applies to the whole document.
  2. Removing page numbers deletes all page numbers in the document.
  3. To add them again, go back to Tools > Insert > Page Number and set them up again.
