Last updated:July 12, 2026

This FAQ covers 3 common questions about Collaboration Attachments, mainly about opening behavior, supported formats, and document size changes.

FAQ

Can recipients open and view an attachment after it is inserted?

  1. Yes. The inserted attachment is saved together with the main document.
  2. After the recipient opens the main document, they can tap the attachment icon to open and view it.
  3. If the attachment is large, the main document size also increases, so it is helpful to check file size before sharing.

Which attachment formats are supported?

  1. On Android, WPS currently supports common WPS Writer, Spreadsheet, Presentation, and PDF files as attachments.
  2. Before insertion, confirm that the file format is within the supported range.
  3. If the file cannot be selected, convert it to a supported document format first and then insert it again.

Why did the main document become larger?

  1. The attachment is saved as part of the main document.
  2. The larger the inserted attachment is, the larger the main document file usually becomes.
  3. To control document size, reduce the number of attachments or use smaller files when possible.
