FAQ

What should I do if the background color makes text hard to read?

  1. Open the Page tab and go to Background settings.
  2. Choose a lighter background color, or adjust it again with a softer custom color.
  3. If needed, change the text color too so there is enough contrast between the text and the background.

What should I do if the image background is cropped?

  1. Check the paper size used in the current document.
  2. Choose a local image with a ratio closer to the page size.
  3. Apply the image background again and review whether the cropping looks closer to what you want.

Why does the background apply to all pages?

  1. The Background feature is designed for whole-document page settings.
  2. After you set a color background, custom color background, or image background, the effect applies to the entire document.
  3. If you no longer need it, use No Page Background to clear the current background.

How to change page color in WPS Office without affecting collaboration visibility?

  1. In collaboration mode, background settings sync to all collaborators.
  2. Before you change the background, confirm whether the team wants a shared page style.
  3. If you need to return to a standard look, the current editor can clear the background.
